Clay Babcock currently runs a dynamic tennis program with workouts and private lessons for players of all ages and abilities. His popular junior program has trained many high school and collegiate team players over the past 30 years. Clay grew up in Saratoga, CA and played Division 1, #2 singles at Fresno State, where he attended on a full scholarship. He set records and won many local tournaments, staying on after graduation as assistant tennis coach. Clay is rated Elite Professional by the USPTA and served as past Vice President. He is sponsored by Head and has been a member of the Head Advisory Staff for the past 20 years. Clay was the Tennis Director and Head Professional at the Olympic Resort in Carlsbad for 18 years. Prior to that he taught at the University Club of Palo Alto, Club Sport in Pleasanton and the Almaden Valley Athletic Club in San Jose. Clay lives in Encinitas with his wife and enjoys surfing, backpacking and playing classical piano.
